GuardianEye

Privacy Policy — Last Updated: April 28, 2026

✅ GuardianEye processes all data locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external server.

1. Introduction

GuardianEye ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information our app accesses, why it is needed, and how it is handled. By using GuardianEye, you agree to the terms described here.

2. Information We Access (But Do Not Store)

Magnetometer / Sensor Data: GuardianEye reads your device's magnetic field sensor to detect anomalies that may indicate hidden electronic devices. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded anywhere.

Camera: The Lens Detection and IR Scan features use your device camera to analyze the physical environment in real time. No photos or videos are ever captured, saved, or transmitted.

WiFi Network Information: The WiFi scanning feature reads the list of devices on your local network to identify potentially suspicious hardware. This information never leaves your device.

Bluetooth: The Bluetooth scanning feature detects nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices that may indicate hidden cameras or trackers. All scanning results are shown locally and are not stored or shared.

Location Permission: On Android, scanning for WiFi and Bluetooth networks requires the Location permission as mandated by the Android operating system. GuardianEye does not collect, store, or use your precise GPS location for any purpose.

3. Calibration Data

The magnetic baseline value set during calibration is saved locally on your device using secure local storage. This data is used only to improve detection accuracy and can be deleted at any time from the app's Settings screen.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

GuardianEye uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use certain information (such as your device's advertising ID) to serve relevant ads. This is handled entirely by Google's SDK and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

5. Data Security

Since GuardianEye processes all data locally and does not operate any servers or databases, your usage data is inherently secure. No data is ever transmitted, making a breach of your personal data from our side impossible.

6. Children's Privacy

GuardianEye is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
