LinkSilo Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

1. Overview & Offline Commitment

LinkSilo: Smart Link Organizer is designed with an offline-first philosophy. We strongly believe in protecting user privacy. Therefore, the core database containing your saved links, categories, tags, notes, and favorites is stored 100% locally on your own physical device using a secure SQLite database. We do not run cloud synchronization servers, and we do not have access to your personal links, bookmarks, or browsing habits.

2. Information We Process

While the app operates locally, we utilize select third-party developer integrations to handle ads, subscriptions, metrics, and premium AI services. Here is how your data is processed:

A. Local Database Storage

All bookmarks, URLs, custom notes, category lists, and tagging options you input remain entirely on your device's memory. This data is never transmitted to us or any external third parties unless you explicitly export it yourself as a backup (JSON/CSV).

B. Google AdMob (Advertising)

For users on the free tier, we display mobile ads using Google AdMob to support ongoing development. Google AdMob may collect and process device-specific information, such as your Advertising ID, device model, and limited usage metrics, to customize ad delivery or perform ad analytics.

C. RevenueCat (In-App Subscriptions)

To manage LinkSilo Pro memberships, we use RevenueCat. When you purchase a subscription through the Google Play Store, RevenueCat securely processes transaction receipts to verify purchase status. This information is associated with an anonymous identifier and does not contain personal identity data.

D. Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics

We collect anonymous statistics (such as button clicks, screen views, and crash reports) through Firebase to help us resolve app stability issues and improve navigation. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.

E. AI Webpage Summaries (Premium Feature)

When you explicitly request an AI webpage summary for a bookmark, the URL is securely sent to our server function (deployed on Vercel) to extract text and request the summary from the AI model. This URL is processed on-the-fly and is never stored permanently on our servers.

3. Biometric Data Security

If you enable the **Secure Vault** feature, authentication is handled natively by the Android operating system using BiometricPrompt (fingerprint or face recognition). LinkSilo does not have access to, does not collect, and does not store your biometric credentials or data.

4. Your Controls & Data Export

Because your data is stored locally, you have total control over it. You can:
