1. Overview & Ecosystem Scope

This Privacy Policy governs the LinkSilo Application Suite, which includes the LinkSilo Mobile Application (Android/iOS) and the LinkSilo Browser Extension (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge). We are committed to protecting user privacy, data security, and transparency.

LinkSilo is designed as an offline-first link organizer. You can use LinkSilo in Guest Mode completely anonymously without creating an account or transmitting any personal data to our cloud servers.

2. Information We Collect & How It Is Used

A. Guest Mode (Local Storage)

When operating in Guest Mode, your saved bookmarks, URLs, titles, descriptions, categories, and tags are stored 100% locally on your physical device or browser (using local storage / SQLite). No browsing data or link items are uploaded to our servers.

B. Optional Account Sign-In & Cloud Synchronization

If you choose to sign in with Google OAuth to enable cross-device cloud sync between your browser extension and mobile app:

• Account Information: We collect your name, email address, profile picture, and unique account ID via Google OAuth to authenticate your account.
• Bookmark Content: User-submitted URLs, page titles, descriptions, category preferences, and tags are securely saved to our Supabase database (encrypted via HTTPS) to allow you to access your bookmarks on all your devices.
• No Tracking / No Ads Data Selling: Your saved links and account data are strictly used to deliver bookmark organization services. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data or saved links to third-party advertisers.

C. Browser Extension Disclosures & Permissions

The LinkSilo Browser Extension strictly operates to capture and manage links explicitly saved by the user. It requires the following permissions:

• activeTab & tabs: To capture the active web page title, URL, and meta description when you click the extension popup.
• contextMenus: To add right-click menu items ("Save Page to LinkSilo" and "Save Link to LinkSilo") for convenient background saving.
• storage: To cache local guest links and your authentication session offline.
• notifications: To display desktop confirmation toasts when saving via right-click menus.
• identity: To authenticate securely with Google Sign-In.
• <all_urls>: To fetch metadata, favicons, and preview images across websites you explicitly save.

Zero Remote Code Guarantee: All extension scripts (popup, background service workers, and content scripts) are 100% bundled locally within the extension package in compliance with Manifest V3. No remote code (e.g. eval() or CDN scripts) is executed.

3. Third-Party Integrations

A. Google AdMob (Mobile App Free Tier)

The mobile app free tier displays mobile ads powered by Google AdMob. AdMob may process limited device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) to deliver non-personalized or relevant ads.

B. RevenueCat (In-App Subscriptions)

To verify LinkSilo Pro memberships purchased through Google Play / App Store, RevenueCat processes anonymous purchase receipts to validate subscription status.

4. Security & Biometric Data

If you enable the Secure Vault feature in the LinkSilo mobile app, biometric authentication (fingerprint or face unlock) is performed natively by your operating system via Android BiometricPrompt / iOS LocalAuthentication. LinkSilo never collects, accesses, or stores your biometric credentials.

5. Data Retention, Control & Account Deletion

You have full ownership of your data at all times:

• Delete Saved Links: You can delete any saved bookmark at any time in the app or extension. Deleting a link removes it permanently from your account/device.
• Local Reset: You can clear app storage or uninstall the app/extension to erase all local data.
• Account Deletion Request: You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated cloud data by emailing us at smtechnologies.dev@gmail.com.
